Effective, long-term action on energy efficiency and demand reduction will require more than just pamphlets in the utility bill or the occasional CFL giveaway. The main purpose is to provide useful information and access to tools in a full-scale effort to educate Elgin residents about the benefits of energy efficiency, demand reduction, and energy issues in general. A secondary purpose is to aggressively market important energy efficiency incentive programs and tools offered by ComEd for Elgin residents and businesses. These programs will help to reduce energy consumption and see a savings on their energy bill.
